Somatic Self-Check-In
Tune in to yourself
This free audio resource is made for you to reconnect to yourself in any situation and get a clearer, calmer way forward.
When things around us become overwhelming, when we are feeling under pressure to make decisions, when we are out of our comfort zone and maybe way too much in our spinning head, it can feel like we’re far away from ourself, maybe feeling lost, and maybe scared to make a wrong move.
The skills introduced in this little practice, derived from the framework of Organic Intelligence, have a potent character of slowing us down and bringing an anchoring of safety back into our body. We are using simple tools like our visual sense (neuroception), and our felt sense (interoception) to connect with the present moment as it is, while gently shifting our focus from the head into our body.
You can do your Self-Check-In anytime, at any place, needing nothing else than yourself.
Enjoy!
Coming out of your Somatic Self-Check-in, take a moment to notice if anything at all has changed about your situation from before.
Is there any fresh perspective showing itself?
Do you feel any impulse to say or do something?
What is important right now?
Whatever it is you are observing, feel invited to take it lightly. Feel it out, write it down if it feels right.
Spontaneous insights or impulses often are our organism’s way of communicating with us what is needed for us to move forward, take a next step, or soothe ourselves. With more practice, you’ll get more intuitive and trusting about this process.
