What is Embodied Authenticity Coaching?

Embodied Authenticity Coaching is an advanced concept that takes a deeper, more embodied approach to healing and growth, and works on the somatic (body-centered) aspects of your being.

In a blend of 1:1 Somatic Coaching, Somatic Yoga, personalized integration practices, and guided self-reflection, we will uncover the root causes of patterns like self-sabotage, tend to parts of yourself that have been neglected, and release blockages that keep you from authentically expressing and living your life.

And you know what - it doesn’t have to be that complicated.

My way of coaching is designed to take out the pressure, sit with what presents itself, and let your natural, life-forwarding capacity unfold.

There aren't enough or resonant words to encompass the benefits I’ve been experiencing through the somatic coaching sessions. Maybe my language hasn’t evolved yet to describe it.

Trust me, I’ve been in this dilemma.

I’ve spent the last decade figuring out the undercurrents of what it means to be human. What drives us forward, what trips us over, what makes us stand back up?

I am far from done, but what I have realized is this:

As different as we are as characters, deep down we all long for the same things here on earth: being ourselves, being happy, and being loved for who we authentically are.

This is not one of those programs where you get a 30 day plan, or a sophisticated outline on how exactly to get to your goals.

We don’t analyse your past, or nit pick around what you “should” do in order to “get there”.

As much as I am sometimes tempted to “figure it all out”, life experience shows me that oftentimes the more we do and the harder we try, the more difficult we are making it for ourselves to proceed.

In our work here together, we are slowing down and make space.

I am here with you, as a certified Somatic Coach, with experience in Nervous System regulation, Yoga, bodywork, breath, having gone through decades of experimentation and self-study in all kinds of methodologies.

Up and foremost though, we are here together as humans.

I am here to offer you a non-judgemental conversation space where you can decompress and fully be yourself, however you are in this exact moment.

In our coaching sessions, we enter a shared, co-created space where both our Nervous Systems meet , connect, and co-regulate. We purposefully create this safe environment for your evolution, and work through your themes and insights in partnership.

  • Somatic Coaching is a form of assisted self-study, where we include signals, impulses and insights of the body in the self-inquiry process of coaching.

    It is a simple form of bridging our cognitive awareness (what we “know” with our mind) and our embodied self-awareness (what we can “feel” with our body, our emotions, our intuition).

    By including “feeling” into the coaching conversation, we get access to the full intelligence that your organism has to offer and oftentimes get out of stuck situations or towards the solution of a problem much more efficient compared to if we were only to consult our thinking instance, the mind.

  • We will have our 1:1 sessions via video call.

    During the call, we both have our videos on (unless you are not comfortable with it) so that we can see each other while we talk.

    You can choose a comfortable place at your home, where you can speak freely and feel safe.

    In the first part of each session, we will have a talk about what’s going on for you. This is the part we collect all the threads that show up, I ask some clarifying questions, and we bring everything that is alive for you to the table.

    After we’ve identified what is most important for the day, we will dive into your embodied awareness of it, and explore what your body, your intuition might know about the subject at hand.

    I will invite you into gentle experimentations with the bodymind, guide you into meditatives states, and will follow along with you on your inside journey.

    We are always in touch, and can change path whenever needed.

    In the end, we will draw conclusions from what you’ve found on your discovery, and formulate a take-away step.

  • Yes.

    In my Coaching style, we work with attunement. That means we connect to each other via use of our senses (seeing and hearing), and simultaneously are in touch with our inner world, our feelings, and intuition (interoception).

    This combination is a stable foundation for us to hold the space together , and to follow your inner journey via communication and sensing.

    You can do this kind of work from the comfort of home, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

  • Confidence is a wildly thrown around word nowadays.

    Conventional styles of coaching would typically focus on mindset shifts and affirmations, which might feel great while in the coaching session, but has a tendency to fade quickly when real life hits again.

    The simple idea of “You can do it” will not stick, if you don’t truly believe you can.

    As complex human beings, we have a lifetime of beliefs already stored in our bodies and minds, and we will keep looping in our old patterns until we shift the root of the belief, the felt truth of the matter.

    Embodied Confidence is confidence without a mask on, without having to pretend anything that you are not, and without ignoring any of your emotions or fears.

    Embodied meaning nothing else than “through the body”, we will work with those deep layers of yours, hear out what resists the upleveling, and integrate the new uncovered truths into your muscle memory and neural patterns.

    Embodied Confidence is a state where you don’t just act confidently, but are inherently confident with your whole self, owning your flaws and insecurities, and standing up for your needs from an authentic perspective.

  • The Embodied Confidence Program is a combination of 9 one-on-one Somatic Coaching Calls and accompanying recorded Somatic Yoga / meditation / breathwork practices.

    Length: 5 months

    9 Somatic Coaching sessions (60min): The 1:1 sessions are our red thread throughout the program. We meet regularly about once per week, according to our agreement. These are the calls where we unpack what you are going through, where you want to be, what you want to shift, etc. These are live video calls and serve your main transformation through the Somatic Coaching method.

    Somatic Yoga / Breathwork / Meditations / Check-Ins Audio recordings: These practices will be customized for you according to what we find in our Coaching sessions. Tailored to the needs of your Nervous System for your specific situation, I will provide you with accompanying audios of different lengths and types to support your regulation and neural integration. All practices stay in your personal folder and are accessible at all times, so you can practice in your own pace and whenever you need.

  • The change that you are seeking in order to be more calm and confident in your life does not just happen through a one-time change of mindset.

    When we dive into your embodied awareness during our Somatic Coaching sessions, we will bring to the surface little nuggets of insights related to your theme, that you will feel on a somatic (physical, emotional) level. Those “AHA” moments are the vital foundation for your inner transformation. They are showing your Nervous System a different way to “be” in relation to a certain trigger, belief, or situation.

    In order to integrate this new way of being into the long term, we need to repeat those new AHA-behaviours as often as possible, to create a neuroplastic effect in your brain.

    Since we are working somatically, i.e. body-oriented, we will combine mental and physical practices from Yoga, breathwork, and somatic meditation, in order to remind your organism of the new ways, and use your muscle memory to bring yourself into a different “shape” .

    It’s a magical process that needs a bit of time, which is why I will give you “homework” every week in form of little practices (5-30min) that you can do on your own.

  • Lots of my coachees have previously gone through or are simultaneously involved in therapy sessions while they work through my program.

    It can be a great combination, as typically in a lot of psychotherapy modalities, the focus is on understanding why you feel or behave in a certain way, while in Somatic Coaching, we will then center our attention on how to be the different version of you that you are seeking to become.

    If in doubt, let your therapist know that you are considering an accompanying Somatic Coaching program and check with them if it is okay for you.

  • Yes and No.

    While both center around you as a human and will invite you to talk and unpack conscious and subconscious themes and blocks in your life, coaching and therapy work on different aspects of the matter.

    While therapy oftentimes has a bigger focus on the past, and the why, Somatic Coaching takes your attention completely into the NOW, the present moment, and guides you to notice whatever your body has to show you right now, in order to forward you in your life.

    In Somatic Coaching we work with the bodymind, the intersection between your cognitive awareness, your thinking, and your felt sense, your embodied awareness.

    Furthermore, my coaching sessions are completely led by you. I will not give you “advice” or diagnose anything within you, but instead will be partnering with you to follow what is naturally emerging from your own well, in order to lead you to self-healing, and self-understanding.

  • This is our first meetup to simply get to know each other and introduce your topic.

    It is my free offer for anyone who feels curious about Somatic Coaching and building Embodied Confidence to gauge if the style resonates and if I am a good fit for you.

    On the other hand, it is my chance to hear your story and where you’re stuck and get an idea of what you are working with.

    Together, we can then decide if working together is beneficial for you and your unique situation at hand, and if yes, as in, a FULL-BODY YES, we will proceed with the program sign up.
