The Triangle of Identity
I’d love to introduce you to my core concept of life, which I call the Triangle of Identity. A dear friend shared it with me during my own rock bottom, and it has been my lifeline ever since.
Our identity, our practical Self here on earth, rests on three essential pillars:
Work – Where we pour our energy most days.
Love – Our relationships, especially intimate ones.
Home – The space we live in, our surroundings, our context.
Picture these three pillars as a tensegrity structure - joints and strings held together by tension and compression, constantly balancing push and pull. If one pillar shifts, the others adjust in response.
We often fall into the trap to think that we are different persons in work, love, and home. But in reality, these scenarios are all reflections of the same core energy. You are the same person in all three areas. The only difference is how freely you express your authentic self in each.
In our Somatic Career Transition coaching, we’ll explore the tension of work in your Triangle of Identity as the entry point into your holistic growth - so you can get out your screwdriver, loosen a little, and allow yourself to shift into a new shape.
Hi, I’m Elena.
And I know exactly what it’s like to be stuck in a career that no longer fits.
My own Triangle of Identity—work, love, and home—started collapsing in on itself in 2020. I had been overstaying in an architecture job that drained and stressed me, clinging for dear life to the illusion of security while my heart pulled elsewhere. My relationship felt tight and misaligned, yet I convinced myself it was fine.
I meditated, studied yoga, Shiatsu, traveled - telling myself I was taking care of my soul.
But in reality, I was avoiding the deeper call to get up and step into my own truth, rather than blindly following someone else’s.
I didn’t listen, so my body spoke louder.
Anxiety took over my days, panic attacks and hypochondria shattering my illusion of control, the quiet whisper becoming a scream I could no longer ignore. I was completely, deeply, burning out.
The big deconstruction went down like a waterfall, starting with my job, almost simultaneously followed by the disintegration of my partnership, and a little afterwards also my home.
I quit, I broke up, I moved.
It was scary, uncomfortable, and a little brutal. I had to let go of the tight grip of control, and let myself fall into the stream of life. The splash was rough and the water was cold - but I learned how to swim. And I know now what it’s like to hand leadership over to my heart, instead of endlessly spinning in my head.
My triangle today is reconstructed in a shape so cool that I could have never imagined before. A shape than can only be designed through raw creativity, trust, and a little bit of madness.
As an architect at mind, and a Somatic Coach, Yoga guide and Shiatsu practitioner at heart, I am here to show you how to deconstruct your Identity triangle, and rebuild it on the foundation of joy, trust, and your authentic energy of life force.
Your life - your design.
Sometimes, you are asked to let things fall apart, so you can zoom out, pick up the pieces, and rebuild them in a better way.
But why is it so hard to loosen up?
Alright, so you’ve identified that you need to move a few things around in your life.
Chances are, you’ve already spent plenty of time thinking about your career transition. You probably know exactly what isn’t working, and might even have ideas for what’s next.
So why are you still stuck?
The answer lies in your Nervous System and the way you perceive safety.
The deep, profound transformation you are seeking (like letting go of a soul-draining job) requires more than just a change of mindset and goal-setting - I want this - need to tackle that - so I get there.
Sounds logical, doesn’t it? The mind loves these linear kind of sense-making.
But we are far more than just our minds.
In reality, we are multi-dimensional, spiritual beings in a human body that are far more complex, and far more intelligent than just our brains. We are held by our physical bodies, but ruled by energy. Analysing and trying to “get a grip” and “overcome” your pain and problems is old-school advice and won’t help you for long lasting change.
Simply through your life’s experience, your body, your Nervous System, and your emotional landscape are holding deep, suboconscious memories that shape your everyday choices. Patterns intended to protect you from the “dangers” of the world, and to prevent you from making the same “mistakes” you made in the past.
If you keep cycling through fear, doubt, and hesitation as you think about changing your career, it’s not because you are failing, or broken, or off. It’s actually because your intuition is pointing you to something exciting, new, and potentially bigger than what you have now, sand your body doesn’t feel quite safe enough to move forward.
And any effort to go against, fix or “heal” that stuck part of you is likely to fire backwards sooner or later.
In order to get unstuck, you need to dive underneath the surface level of thinking, and pick up the whole of yourself from the standpoint of feeling.
It is those moments of your biggest pain where the magic of your biggest potential lies, straight on the other side of fear. All you need to do is soften, make space and dare to walk with it, face it, befriend it, alchemize it.
Fear’s your friend, pointing you to the places you haven’t been to before.

My approach blending Somatic Coaching with Yoga and the natural flow of life energy is taking a different road towards personal growth and healing.
Rooted in body psychology, neuroscience, and energy work, we dare to shift gears and make space for the solution rather than endlessly chasing the problem.
In our work together, you learn to connect with your natural intelligence - the deep, intuitive knowing already present within you, communicating through body sensations, gut feelings, free movements, and metaphors.
We are dialing down the pressure to fix, and tune up your embodied awareness, getting to know the workings of your Nervous System, and meet the resistance that keeps you stuck in your old job.
It’s a simple act of creating space, and watching your intuition take lead, and for your inner wisdom to show you the way forward, trusting that the answers you seek are already emerging from within you.
Basically, it’s all about getting you out of your head and into your heart, and to introduce you to the inner life force streaming through you, connecting you with all there is, floating you towards where your heart really wants to be.

Meet yourself where you’re at.
Time to become really honest and bring all cards to the table.
We’ll start off with clarifying your current situation, map your Nervous System, and start finetuning your somatic awareness via Yoga and breathwork.
You’ll learn to shift from resisting your current situation towards accepting what is, making the foundation for change. -

Draft your Vision
As you’ll become more comfortable in your skin again, we’ll start to make some space, expand on your authentic vision, and dive into your body to uncover your heart’s desire.
This is a process of embodied re-orientation, resourcing and shaking the picture of your reality up a bit, so you can feel out the potential already waiting in you, forming an alternate pathway.

Deconstruct
Time to get real. We’ll have a look at your triangle pillars and get out the screwdriver.
We’ll use the simple framework of Somatic Focusing and other body-psychology tools in order to meet and befriend the painpoints, resistance, and fears showing up, following them through the tuning fork of your body towards the unspoken truths that lie beneath the surface.

Redesign
A career transition is not an overnight express project and will ask you to make tough choices, set new boundaries, shift habits, and make bold steps.
We’ll draw on your organic intelligence and train the skills of regulating your Nervous System intuitively, as well as widening your capacity to hold challenging emotions developing resilience.

Rebuild
This is when it becomes tangible again.
As you start to make changes and move forward with your life, we’ll shift our focus onto the integration of your authentic Self, building new neural pathways that reinforce your new way of being so you can move into your new home (that is, your new career).
Process over progress.
Authentic transformation is not a straight line. We got to allow ourselves to grow organically, following a non-linear, sometimes messy pathway, leading us in circles and sometimes into deadends, asking us to retrace steps.
It’s all part of the process.

Somatic Coaching isn’t another “30 days roadmap to your dream career”.
Shifting from an outdated job to a purpose-driven career isn’t about following a neat, step-by-step plan. If you are serious about creating a work that feels like second nature, an authentic expression of who you are, you need more than a quick fix.
Instead of fixating on an XYZ goal, we focus on creating the right conditions for you to navigate your path from the inside out, tuning into your own inner compass rather than external advice or smart strategies.
And that includes mine.
I am not a business coach. I won’t tell you how to quit or what career to pursue. You know that yourself (or let’s say, you’ll find out all about it when we start working together !). My role is to guide you in shifting your inner leadership from your head to your heart, and learn the language of the inherent wisdom already within you.

Somatic Coaching is a form of assisted self-study, where we include signals, impulses and insights of the body in the self-inquiry process of coaching.
It is a simple form of bridging our cognitive awareness (what we “know” with our mind) and our embodied self-awareness (what we can “feel” with our body, our emotions, our intuition).
By including “feeling” into the coaching conversation, we get access to the full intelligence that your organism has to offer and oftentimes get out of stuck situations or towards the solution of a problem much more efficient compared to if we were only to consult our thinking instance, the mind.

We will have our 1:1 sessions via video call.
During the call, we both have our videos on (unless you are not comfortable with it) so that we can see each other while we talk.
You can choose a comfortable place at your home, where you can speak freely and feel safe.
In the first part of each session, we will have a talk about what’s going on for you. This is the part we collect all the threads that show up, I ask some clarifying questions, and we bring everything that is alive for you to the table.
After we’ve identified what is most important for the day, we will dive into your embodied awareness of it, and explore what your body, your intuition might know about the subject at hand.
I will invite you into gentle experimentations with the bodymind, guide you into meditatives states, and will follow along with you on your inside journey.
We are always in touch, and can change path whenever needed.
In the end, we will draw conclusions from what you’ve found on your discovery, and formulate a take-away step.

Yes.
In my Coaching style, we work with attunement. That means we connect to each other via use of our senses (seeing and hearing), and simultaneously are in touch with our inner world, our feelings, and intuition (interoception).
This combination is a stable foundation for us to hold the space together , and to follow your inner journey via communication and sensing.
You can do this kind of work from the comfort of home, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

Confidence is a wildly thrown around word nowadays.
Conventional styles of coaching would typically focus on mindset shifts and affirmations, which might feel great while in the coaching session, but has a tendency to fade quickly when real life hits again.
The simple idea of “You can do it” will not stick, if you don’t truly believe you can.
As complex human beings, we have a lifetime of beliefs already stored in our bodies and minds, and we will keep looping in our old patterns until we shift the root of the belief, the felt truth of the matter.
Embodied Confidence is confidence without a mask on, without having to pretend anything that you are not, and without ignoring any of your emotions or fears.
Embodied meaning nothing else than “through the body”, we will work with those deep layers of yours, hear out what resists the upleveling, and integrate the new uncovered truths into your muscle memory and neural patterns.
Embodied Confidence is a state where you don’t just act confidently, but are inherently confident with your whole self, owning your flaws and insecurities, and standing up for your needs from an authentic perspective.

The Embodied Confidence Program is a combination of 9 one-on-one Somatic Coaching Calls and accompanying recorded Somatic Yoga / meditation / breathwork practices.
Length: 5 months
9 Somatic Coaching sessions (60min): The 1:1 sessions are our red thread throughout the program. We meet regularly about once per week, according to our agreement. These are the calls where we unpack what you are going through, where you want to be, what you want to shift, etc. These are live video calls and serve your main transformation through the Somatic Coaching method.
Somatic Yoga / Breathwork / Meditations / Check-Ins Audio recordings: These practices will be customized for you according to what we find in our Coaching sessions. Tailored to the needs of your Nervous System for your specific situation, I will provide you with accompanying audios of different lengths and types to support your regulation and neural integration. All practices stay in your personal folder and are accessible at all times, so you can practice in your own pace and whenever you need.

The change that you are seeking in order to be more calm and confident in your life does not just happen through a one-time change of mindset.
When we dive into your embodied awareness during our Somatic Coaching sessions, we will bring to the surface little nuggets of insights related to your theme, that you will feel on a somatic (physical, emotional) level. Those “AHA” moments are the vital foundation for your inner transformation. They are showing your Nervous System a different way to “be” in relation to a certain trigger, belief, or situation.
In order to integrate this new way of being into the long term, we need to repeat those new AHA-behaviours as often as possible, to create a neuroplastic effect in your brain.
Since we are working somatically, i.e. body-oriented, we will combine mental and physical practices from Yoga, breathwork, and somatic meditation, in order to remind your organism of the new ways, and use your muscle memory to bring yourself into a different “shape” .
It’s a magical process that needs a bit of time, which is why I will give you “homework” every week in form of little practices (5-30min) that you can do on your own.

Lots of my coachees have previously gone through or are simultaneously involved in therapy sessions while they work through my program.
It can be a great combination, as typically in a lot of psychotherapy modalities, the focus is on understanding why you feel or behave in a certain way, while in Somatic Coaching, we will then center our attention on how to be the different version of you that you are seeking to become.
If in doubt, let your therapist know that you are considering an accompanying Somatic Coaching program and check with them if it is okay for you.

Yes and No.
While both center around you as a human and will invite you to talk and unpack conscious and subconscious themes and blocks in your life, coaching and therapy work on different aspects of the matter.
While therapy oftentimes has a bigger focus on the past, and the why, Somatic Coaching takes your attention completely into the NOW, the present moment, and guides you to notice whatever your body has to show you right now, in order to forward you in your life.
In Somatic Coaching we work with the bodymind, the intersection between your cognitive awareness, your thinking, and your felt sense, your embodied awareness.
Furthermore, my coaching sessions are completely led by you. I will not give you “advice” or diagnose anything within you, but instead will be partnering with you to follow what is naturally emerging from your own well, in order to lead you to self-healing, and self-understanding.

This is our first meetup to simply get to know each other and introduce your topic.
It is my free offer for anyone who feels curious about Somatic Coaching and building Embodied Confidence to gauge if the style resonates and if I am a good fit for you.
On the other hand, it is my chance to hear your story and where you’re stuck and get an idea of what you are working with.
